SPRING CLINIC 2025 

REGISTRATIONS OPEN

When: - 13th &14th Sept 2024

ILCASA would like to invite sailors of all ages to participate in this years season opening training clinic at GRYC.  Young or old- there's always something to learn.  ILCA  prides itself as a "class" for life and we support all who wish to sail in her.

If you are thinking of transitioning into the ILCA and don't have a boat- ILCASA have a limited number of boats to hire out for the event. See below for hire opportunities.

The benifit of hosting the event on the Goolwa Lakes waters are no suprise to SA sailors... Flat water - no shore breaks! The facilities at the GRYC are fanstasic- showers, undercover areas, large green rigging lawns and more. Further and the waters have all been given the green light by the SA Gov. So a great spot and facilities.

This year we have an amazing visting coach aswell as some home grown exceptional SA talent. Further we are exceptionally happy to have Australian Sailings Brady Lowe back to check out our SA sailing action. 

COACHES

Paige Caldecott

Paige is currently a ILCA 6 sailor with NSWIS as well as an avid match racer and keel boat sailor. She has coached all levels of sailing from learn to sail up to at an international level in many classes of boat. Some notable achievements of Paige’s include ILCA 6 Vice-Youth World Champion, Multiple youth and U21 national titles in ILCA 6, and SB20 World Champion 

Ellen Sampson

Ellen is currently a ILCA 6 sailor with AS Futures program and SASI.  Ellen brings . Aside from her success locally, Ellen has stamped her place nationally taking 1st place years ILCA6 U19 female category at the ILCA Nationals Championships in QLD. Further Ellen has campaigned over sucessive years on the European ILCA circuit. Ellen brings a wealth of knowledge and experiance well beyond her years and is an inspiration for local aspiring sailors.

Australian Sailing- Brady Lowe

Currently coaching the 49er AUS team out of Sydney, we warmly welcome Brady returning to SA for this event to checkout the progress of our South Aussie Sailors.

Sat 13th Sept 

9:00am : Egg and Bacon Sandwiches available

9:30 am  : Sign In Desk open Saturday

10am -4pm         ( lunch in the middle)

4:15 pm Sausage Sizzle - all classes

4:45 - Youth Sailing Pathways Presentation  ( Bar facilities will be available- please no BYO - thankyou

Sun 14th Sept 

9:00am : Egg and Bacon Sandwiches available 

10am -3pm          ( lunch in the middle)

COST

2 days $180sailor

1 day $95/sailor

1 or 2 day attendance options available when registering

🍽️ Food Options

Morning:

• Egg & Bacon Sandwiches available for purchase both mornings

Lunch:

• Pre-order available- else self cater.

• Visit the IODASA website’s SHOP section to place your lunch orders.( shop items to be added asap- please watch that space)

• Lunch order deadline: 1pm Sunday 7th September 

Sat Post Sail:

• Association sponsored Sausage Sizzle

CONDITION OF ENTRY

To participate, sailors must:-

• Be financial members of ILCASA for season 2025_26. Memberships can be renewed on line under the meberships tab or Clicking  here MEMBERSHIP RENEWAL 
• Be financial members of their local sailing club and have an "active" Australian Sailing number. Dont know your AS number?? click here AS NUMBER FINDER
• Hold a current 3rd Party insurance policy on the sailing vessel

NOTE: If you havent renewed your annual membership with your local sailing club  - you may not be seen as a financial " active" member by AS ...you will need to join up with local club for your AS insurance coverage to kickin and enter any association events.
